Nitidotellina valtonis (Hanley, 1844)
Japan to Australia, to SE. Africa, to Red Sea and eastern Mediterranean. Deposit feeder in infralittoral bottoms with some mud. Original taxon: Tellina valtonis. Synonym: iridella.

A specimen from the gulf of Iskenderun: 15m deep, on muddy sand, Burnaz plajı, Erzin, Hatay, SE. Turkey. 14mm.
