Crassatina modesta (H. Adams, 1869) |
The type locality is said to be the Gulf of Tunis. The species is also found in Alborán Sea. It lives in the low infralittoral and probably deeper. Original taxon: Gouldia modesta. A synonym is planata Calcara. The species bears a significantly lower number of commarginal folds than in the other african members of the genus, and these folds are also weaker, more obsolete than those of alba, dakarensis or marchadi.
