Shells small to large, solid, with a pointed spire and a large aperture, often flaring in adult specimens; the anterior siphonal canal is doubled by the stromboid notch, through which the animal extends one of this two eyes. Parietal callus often well developed and glazed. Operculum falcate, sometimes serrated. |
