Central and eastern Mediterranean, Suez canal. Ectoparasit in the infralittoral and possibly deeper. Original taxon: Eulimella trigonostoma. Probable synonym: gradata Monterosato, 1878. Effectively, the shell bears markedly gradate whorls, almost flat at their periphery, and separate from each other by a deep suture. Longitudinal microsculpture made up of prosocline growth marks. Columella straight, very inclined in front view; the aperture is typically triangular. – Downslope transportation: 500m deep, Capo Teulada, Cagliari, S. Sardinia. 1,2mm. |
