Spiralix cf. Spiralix kuiperi Boeters & Falkner, 2009 |

Stygobiont. Known distribution: sparse spots in karstic aquifers of Aube and Yonne, E. France. « The shell is elongated conical with almost straight side lines [meaning that the growth-rate seems constant], with the outer edge of the mouth protruding laterally in front view. The whorls are strongly arched and separated by a deep suture. The spiral sculpture of the shell surface is more or less clearly pronounced. The edge of the mouth is expanded like a trumpet, lies close to the wall of the mouth and leaves the navel exposed in a funnel shape. In the front view, the mouth appears as a slightly inclined oval that is a little flattened on both sides. The extended mouth seam is slightly indented in the mouth corner. Above: a specimen collected in sediments at the emergence of Grand Fontaine, vau de Bouche, Voutenay-sur-Cure, Yonne drainage basin. Altitude ≈ 150m. 2,4mm. |
