Stygobiont. Known distribution: some karstic aquifers in the west of Bouches-du-Rhône, Gard, Hérault. This is the type-species of the genus. Synonym: pontmartiniana. « Contour lanceolate-conical; spire acuminate; apex small; whorls 7 to 7 1/2, slightly convex, staggered, almost planar; growth regular, quite fast; the last [whorl] large; suture deep; slot rather open; aperture oblong, a little transverse, the base very projecting; labre largely notched upward; test vitreous, of a crystalline appearance, smooth, barely striated. » – A.
