Basionym: Vitrella haeussleri. Possible synonyms: alpinum, dorvani, francomontanum… « Whorls 6-7, slightly convex, but separated from each other by deep sutures; the whorls increase slowly and regularly; the last one occupies only a little more than a quarter of the total srell length and is slightly swollen; aperture narrowly oval, pointed upwards; margin of the aperture only slightly expanded, sharp, connected by a very thin callus; operculum not observed. » – S. In the karst spring of Bléfond (type-locality of charpyi), in the Doubs. 3,6mm. Altitude ≈ 310m. The shell is more or less stocky, but the aperture of adult specimens is markedly expanded, with a rounded anterior lip and an angular posterior margin. |
