Distribution: S. Washington to Baja California.
Subtidal to " at least 20m deep" (Geiger).

Above and below: two specimens from northern California. 83-97mm.
Holes round. Sculpture cancellate. No muscle scar.
Shell flatter than any other abalone from the area. Folds never strong. Narrow columella.
