Small to minute Tusk-shells, similar in sculpture to the Dentaliidae, but thin, whitish, and often bearing some ribs stronger than the others, giving the shell a keeled appearance.
 

Aperture large; shell tapering quickly; apex most often polygonal; almost always some strong longitudinals.
