Mediterranean and adjacent Atlantic, in bathyal depths. Original taxon: Yoldia striolata. Synonyms: producta, senguenzae. « Shell brittle, plump, solid, equivalve, inequilateral; somewhat triangular in outline with broad and prominent umbones anterior to the midline, and rather flat ventral outline; no definite estucheon and lunule are present. The dorsal margin is deeply concave posteriorly, leading to a rostrate posterior end; anteriorly the dorsal margin is approximately straight, directed downwards and curving smoothly intio the anterior margin.
