Adriatic to NW. Morocco, in bathyal depths. Shell minute, not triangular in shape as philippiana but ovate, more elongate, with a round anterior margin and an elliptic posterior one. Microsculpture of numerous and thin commarginal growth marks. Conspicuous prodissoconches. Hinge: anterior teeth 7, posterior 6, as in (the possible ancestor) Yoldiella micrometrica (Seguenza, 1877). 1000m deep, Capo Teulada, SW. Cagliari, S. Sardinia. 1,2mm. |

« Hinge plate moderately thick, making a 130° angle, anterior row a little longer than posterior one. Dentition taxodont, with chevron-shaped teeth, numbering seven anteriorly and six posteriorly in holotype. Ligament pit shallow, elliptic. Muscle scars roundish, fairly well impressed. Pallial line forming a shallow, hardly distinct posterior sinus. » – R.
