The species lives in some sheltered bays and coves, rich in organic particles. This specimen was dead collected, at 3m deep, on muddy sand, 100m offshore, north of the mills, Elounda, Lasithi. 11,5-12,5mm. Elounda bay is a good place to find this species. |

An ancestor is M. transversus Bronn. Specimen found near Ajim, Jerba island, Tunisia. 8mm. |
