Restricted, for the moment, to the Ionian and Aegean Seas, in the infralittoral and the circalittoral.
 
Shell very small, with the auricles almost fused into the lateral margins. The left valve bears up to about 20 radial lines of numerous scales arranged concentrically; the right valve, as always in the genus, is smaller than the left one and bears a dense commarginal microsculpture.
