North Sea to Mediterranean. Original taxon : Cardita corbis. Possible synonym: minuta Scacchi. 33m deep, in shell grit, Secche di Tor Paterno, off Torvajanica, Roma, Lazio, Italy. 3,5mm. |
Same spot, 5mm. Most of the specimens collected on the Secche were pale and thin, and smaller, like the one pictured on top. This bright orange shell was unique. |
