Centrocardita aculeata (Poli, 1795)
Algarve to Sénégal, Azores to Mediterranean, in the infralittoral, the circalittoral and the continental shelf.
Original taxon: Chama aculeata. Synonym: elegans.

Above and below: 10-15m deep, on sand, Málaga, Andalucia, Spain. 20-22mm.
Can be apricot to orange, to pale brown, rarely white.
