Galicia to W. Mediterranean. Predator on Callogorgia sp., Eunicella verrucosa and Paramuricea at circa 30-200m deep. Shell often white, rarely coloured with pale ochre, slender, glossy, smooth apart some spiral striae on the extremities and some growth marks; aperture slightly narrower than in the other mediterranean species. 120m deep, Bosa Marina, Oristano, W. The spiral striations, always weak, appear at the extremities, and quickly vanish before reaching the middle of the shell. |
