Turbonilla grossa (Marshall, 1894)
Mediterranean.
Ectoparasit in the infralittoral.
Original taxon: Odostomia pusilla var. “grossa”.
 
Shell conical with a large base; whorls slightly convex; radial costae opisthocline and a little sinuous, with narrower interspaces. Above and below: 30-44m deep, San Ġiljan, southeastern Region, Malta. 6,2mm. Original pictures provided by A. Nappo (IT) – (CC BY-NC-SA).
Protoconch of type A.
Often confused with Turbonilla sinuosa (Jeffreys, 1884), but the latter bears much more sinuous folds, and is strictly atlantic.
