Mediterranean, including the Sea of Marmara. Ectoparasit in the circalittoral. Protoconch of type A; whorls rather flat, adorned with opisthocline axial ribs separated by narrow interspaces, and rapidly vanishing at the periphery of the last whorl. A difference with acuta is given by the radial sculpture of the first teleoconch whorls, which are ribbed in acutissima and smooth in acuta; the interspaces are also thinner. – 45m deep, Cesenatico, Forlė-Cesena, Emilia Romagna, NE. Italy. 3,3mm. |
