Northern Morocco. Grazer, on stones and rocks in freshwater streams. Original taxon: Neritina marteli. « Shell conical but with a spire not much protruding. Whorls 3½, little rounded, uncoiling quickly, adorned with very dense zigzag or undulating lineoles of a dark reddish brown, standing out against the porcellanous background of the test. Last whorl big, well convex and forming on its own the ¾ of the total shell height. Aperture oblique, forming a regular oval inclined towards the base rather than horizontally elongated, and white; peristome thin, sharp; operculum solid, shiny, light reddish yellow. » – P.
