Solatisonax alleryi (Seguenza, 1876)
Mediterranean. Circalittoral to continental shelf and slope.
Original taxon: Solarium alleryi.

The shell has a strong sculture, but the keel is not as marked as in other members of the genus. On the base, around the crenulate umbilicus, there is a large band with a distinctive radial sculpture made up of flat costae, which, as they are interrupted by the first spiral thread, give this area the unique pattern of radiating rectangular tiles. Colour pale yellow, with some contrasted markings, alternatively white and brownish, on the keel. – Above: 600m deep, off Capo Corso, N. Corsica. 7,8mm. Original pictures provided by A. Nappo (IT).
