Ectoparasite of the sea-urchin Cidaris cidaris (Linnaeus, 1758) in the infralittoral and the circalittoral. Often found with Nanobalcis nana (Monterosato, 1878). The species can be occasionally found in shallower waters near harbours (discarded urchins) or in coves exposed to streams (dead shell transportation). Original taxon: Eulima bonifaciae.
