Grazer and detritus feeder, in the infralittoral and the circalittoral, peculiarly around Cymodocea nodosa meadows.

The species is close to auriformis Pallary but is slightly taller, with a more pointed apex, and a less expanded labial margin.
 
Specimen from the early Holocene, found at 1m deep inside the sediment, 65m deep, Kornati channel, Šibenik-Knin Comitat, W. Croatia. 5,5mm.
