Azores to Cabo Verde archipelago, to Mediterranean. Predator in the infralittoral, down to about 300m deep. Original taxon: Bulla hoernesi. Synonym: cuneata Tiberi. « Cylichna cuneata: shell conoid-lengthened, grooved, whitish, transversely striated (the middle strie are more interspaced, the distal ones more numerous), humped at the base, thinned on top, and longitudinally furrowed; apex obliquely truncated, deeply perforated, elegantly crenate at the periphery; aperture straight and narrowed posteriorly, widened anteriorly; columellar margin reflected. » – N.
