Deposit feeder in the continental shelf, down to bathyal depths, on coralline or muddy bottoms.
Original taxon: Trochus wiseri. Synonym crispulus Philippi.

« Shell small, subconic, the 6-7 whorls more or less convex, latticed by transverse cinguli (6 on penultimate whorl), and longitudinal elevated, oblique lines; aperture suborbicular; lip sulcate within. » – H.
