Norway to Cabo Verde, Madeira to Mediterranean, Black Sea. Ectoparasit in the infralittoral-circalittoral. Original taxon: Turbo interstinctus. « Spire elongated composed of four whorls (not including the embryonic ones) convex, with thin, arched, slightly flexuous ribs and a decurrent cord at the base of the whorls a little above the suture, where it determines a well pronounced angle. This cord extends on the middle of the last whorl. Suture deep and canaliculate. Aperture oval; columella slightly arched, with a weak tooth. Labrum simple, rounded, slightly flexuous.
