British Isles to Canarias, Mediterranean. Ectoparasit in the infralittoral. Original taxon: Turbo decussatus. Shell oblong, conical, narrowed at the base, thin-walled, semi-translucent, fairly glossy, strongly sculptured of numerous radial costae crossed by many spiral cords, giving the shell, especially its the last whorl, a latticed appearance; in fact, this Partnenina bears much more of these spirals than the other members of the genus: here the area where they occur reaches almost the shoulder of the whorls.
