Mediterranean. Ectoparasit in the infralittoral-circalittoral. Original taxon: Monoptygma vitrea. Synonyms: brusinae, elegans, exigua, neglecta. « Species small, fragile, thin, pellucid, white-vitreous and glossy, awl-shaped, conic; whorls 6 or 7, rather flat, covered with thin transverse striae; suture shallow; umbilicus thin; aperture ovate, angled adapically, equal for the length of the fourth part of the whole remaining coil, the last whorl forming the third part; the columellar fold is not very marked. » – S.
