Nanobalcis nana (Monterosato, 1878)
Central Mediterranean.
Together with Sabinella bonifaciae (Nordsieck, 1974), the species is ectoparasite of the sea-urchin Cidaris cidaris (Linnaeus, 1758) in the infralittoral and the circalittoral. The species can be occasionally found in shallower waters near harbours (discarded urchins) or in coves exposed to streams (dead shell transportation).
