Jujubinus catenatus Ardovini, 2006
Canale di Sicilia.
Grazer and deposit feeder, at least in the low infralittoral and the upper circalittoral.

The shell of this species is more elongate than many others, exasperatus, striatus and unidentatus excepted. The whorls are very flat, with a shallow and thin suture; each adult whorl bears 6 spiral cords slightly granulose, with the usual little prosocline striae between. The base is very slightly convex, forming and angle at the periphery of the last whorl; it bears also 6 cords, with weaker granules. Colours: protoconch yellow; teleoconch red or green, or both; the spiral cords are of the same colour than their backgrounds, but darker.
