Mediterranean to Canarias. Predator in the infralittoral. Original taxon: Voluta miliaria. « Testa obovata alba, spira oblitterata flaveola. » – Carl von Linné: Systema naturae vol. I p.730 in the 10th edition. The shell is slightly banded. – Above: young and adult specimens, collected in Posidonia meadow, Anse des Fossettes, at the root of the eastern peninsula, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Alpes-Maritimes, SE. France. 6-6,4mm. |

Heavy columellar folds. Lip smooth to finely crenulated. This specimen was found dead at 5m deep, on sand, at the eastern base of the citadel, near the breakwater that leads to the small venetian fortress offshore Methóni, Messinia, south-western Peloponnese, SW. Greece. 5,2mm. |
