Canarias, NW. Africa into Mediterranean. Predator in the infralittoral. Original taxon: Marginella epigrus. The shell is more slender, its spire less obtuse than in other mediterranean species; the lip is thin (« scarcely thickened » in Reeve, 1865). It is usually white, but sometimes banded (“trifasciata”, “quadrifasciata” in Pallary, 1912). 1-2m deep, Marbella, Málaga, Andalucia, S. Spain. 6mm. |
