« Pretty shell pleasantly adorned with purple red and yellowish white, arranged by zones; longitudinal striations quite pronounced; spire acute, of an orange hue; white columella in the middle and red-bay at both ends; interior of the aperture striped with these two colours. It passes quite often dark purple. I have dedicated it to M. Guillemin, a member of the Natural History Society of Paris. » – B. C.
