Florida to Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean, W. Indies; Madeira to Mediterranean. The old records from Herm, Channel islands, seem doubtful. Predator on sessile preys in the infralittoral and circalittoral levels. « The anal fasciole has rather distant arched lamellae. » (Pilsbry). – A specimen from beachstormed material, Campomarino, Taranto, Puglia, S. Italy. 12,5mm.
Synonyms: cancellata, curvirostris, reticulata, squamulosa
Minute cancellate sculpture made up of strong radial cords and narrower concentric lamellae. Slit short. – In downslope transported grit at -600m, Isola di Ponza, Lazio, W. Italy. 7mm.
