North Sea and W. Ireland to Mediterranean. Micrograzer and deposit feeder in the circalittoral and the continental shelf. Original taxon: Skenea cutleriana. Synonym: exilis. « Shell thin, translucent and somewhat glossy, whitish, with three convex whorls. Protoconch smooth, of one whorl. Teleoconch of about two whorls, sculptured on the last whorl with about 30 flat spiral cords with narrow interspaces and marked growth lines with three sinuses corresponding with sinuses of outer lip. Aperture rounded, prosocline, comprising about 60% of height; body whorl about 95% of shell height.
