Norway to Azores, to Mediterranean, in infralittoral and circalittoral gardens. Predator on sessile preys (sponges). Original taxon: Cerithiopsis tubercularis var. nana. « Last whorl ovate-cylindrical, 40% of total height in fully grown specimens; base quickly tapering, imperforated, with distinct neck.
