Mediterranean & adjacent, Seine seamount, Canarias. Predator on sessile preys of the infralittoral and circalittoral, often in association with Corallium rubrum. Original taxon: Pyrula panormitana. The shell of this secies differs from that of C. trigoi by its smaller size, the larger number of spiral cords, their smaller scales; from that of brevis by the more rounded, less triangular shape of the last whorl. 60-70m deep, Málaga, Andalucia, S.
