Brachystomia angusta (Jeffreys, 1867)
British Isles to Cabo Verde, to Mediterranean. Depth range in west Africa: 13m-80m (van Aartsen & al., 1988). Ectoparasit on lamellibranchs (used to finding the food along the mantles of Scallops, Tellins, Mussels etc.) living around Posidonia meadows or on soft bottoms colonized by photophilous algae.

Original taxon: Odostomia pallida var. “angusta”.
 
Protoconch type B; growth-lines orthocline; spiral sculpture weak (Il genere Odostomia in Mediterraneo, Documenti del Gruppo Malacologico Livornese, 1999). The shape of this Odostomia is markedly pyramidal.

Intertidal, Punta del Carnero, Algeciras, Andalucia, S. Spain. 2,5mm.
