Ectoparasit on lamellibranchs (used to finding the food along the mantles of Scallops, Tellins, Mussels etc.) living around Posidonia meadows or on soft bottoms colonized by photophilous algae.

Protoconch type B; growth-lines orthocline; spiral sculpture weak (Il genere Odostomia in Mediterraneo, Documenti del Gruppo Malacologico Livornese, 1999). The shape of this Odostomia is markedly pyramidal.
