Gibraltar Strait to Adriatic Sea, in the circalittoral down to bathyal depths. Present in the early Piacenzian (Pliocene) of Estepona Basin, Andalucia, S. Spain (Landau & Jansen, 2015). The shell is characterized by its strongly arched base, an apex very anteriorly placed, and by its protoconch which is sculptured with about a dozen of longitudinal cords and minute punctae near the lip. 350m deep, off Dubrovnik, S.
