Pilsbry: Manual of conchology, structural and systematic ser. 1, vol. 15, Philadelphia 1893, plate 42, fig. 31-32. « Shell cylindrical, very shining, hyaline; constricted and longitudinally striate at apex, elsewhere very smooth; spire loosely involute; vertex little conspicuous, obliquely attenuated. Aperture narrow above, dilated below and truncate. […] The “Washington” specimens are adult. […] They are microscopically and regularly striated in a transverse or spiral direction. » – H. A.
