Alvania dalmatica Buzzurro & Prkić, 2007
Southern Croatia to, at least, the Ionian Sea. Detritus feeder in the circalittoral: 40-90m, often among the red coral.

The sculpture of dalmatica is more pronounced than in hallgassi, with very often a fewer number of radial costae; as a result, the inner side of the labrum often shows some denticles in the continuity of the outer spiral ribs. But the numerous morphological intergrades between both species make sometimes identification rather difficult.

Above and below: 80m deep, on red coral bottom, Lastovo island, Dubrovnik-Neretva Comitat, S. Croatia. 3,1mm.

Teleoconch: presence of some very thin commarginal microsculpture between the radial ribs. Protoconch: interspaces between the spiral cords smooth.
