Shells medium-sized to large, operculate, bucciniform. Whorls very convex, aperture semi-circular, columella straight, anterior siphonal canal open, posterior notch very visible, often narrow, delimited by a sloping columellar tooth. Sculpture made up of strong axial varices and spiral cords. Periostracum marked, sometimes velvety, sometimes hairy. Operculum heavy. |
