Shells minute to small, limpet-shaped, with a margin entire and a fine radial sculpture; apex slightly to strongly anterior, more or less hooked. Horseshoe muscle-scar opening anteriorly. Height often variable within a species.
 

Shell roundish-oval, rather thin, with an apex markedly hooked; sculpture or thin radials crossed by numerous concentric striae, with obsolete to small protuberances at the intersections, giving the shell a scabrous to granulose appearance.
