Laeviphitus van Aartsen, Bogi & Giusti, 1989:A deep water genus, often living around hydrothermal vents and seeps. The shell bears the same kind of protoconch as the epitoniid genus Iphitus Jeffreys, 1883, but with less whorls, and a less marked sculpture. The teleoconch is smooth. |
