Shells small to medium-sized with a high spire, a narrow aperture, a thickened and expanded outer lip, and a moderately long anterior canal. Sculpture variable. Inside of the aperture smooth; unlike members of the family Strombidae, the columellar callus is reduced to the apertural area. Operculum horny. No umbilicus. |
