Rhyssoplax Thiele, 1893:The shell is rather similar to that of Chiton Linnaeus, 1758; it differs in having less pectinate insertion plates and a less porous subtegmentum. The radula also shows some differences. Regarding the genus Chiton, here is a description of the shell: « Median valves having a single slit in each insertion-plate; [jugal] sinus generally denticulate… » – T.
